My name is Bryan Bardin. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, lived and worked in Westchester County, New York until 2017 when I returned to Florida. I have worked in schools, camps, hospitals, churches, and businesses, but most recently in banking technology. I am passionate about helping people solve problems and tell their story. I am fascinated with technology and the ways we can use technology to change our world. SPRING 2017 – FALL 2020

Responsibilities included managing the technology and digital strategy for a local community bank with over $350m in assets and 50 employees; worked closely with executive management to design and implement the information security program, including vendor management, audits and examinations, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing; provided strategic direction and implementation of the banks digital systems.

Key Activities included: Information Technology—directed business continuity planning and pandemic response; developed update strategy and manage upgrade process from Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 for 50 production workstations and 10 production servers; planned and implemented a migration of the production server environment to a colocation facility. Information Security—directed business continuity planning and pandemic response; managed an expanding and increasingly complex network though leveraging SIEM, NAC, penetration testing, and more; oversaw annual GLBA, Cyber Security Assessment Tool, and User Access Risk Assessments; coordinated vendor management process including annual reviews of critical vendors and coordinated risk assessments for new vendors. Project Management—managed Renegotiation of Core Contract; worked with senior management and key stakeholders to identify strategic direction, aligned product mix to achieve business goals and drive efficiencies; coordinated and communicated pricing changes to senior management and board committees; designed and communicated deployment schedule for a dozen new or upgraded products.

The Chaplain Extern program is part of the hospital’s Clinical Pastoral Education Program. CPE Externs were responsible to serve as the floor chaplain 6hrs a week, being the on call chaplain once every other week, attending verbatim discussions and small group conferences. I worked with in and out patient juvenile behavioral health wards leading Spiritual Journey groups, as well as working as a floor chaplain in the Children’s Hospital.

The Crisis Center at the Alachua County Department of Health was part of the National Suicide Talkline as well as a local resource to the community. As Phone Counsleor, duties include counseling individuals in a crisis situation throughout Alachua County, answering and counseling individuals who call 1-800-SUICIDE or 1-800-273-TALK, assessing suicidality over the phone, extending local services when appropriate. As a Care Team Associate, duties include face to face counseling, serving as liason between law enforcement offices, the crisis center, and members of the community, as well as further mobilizing resources. We also offered Crisis Intervention Training to local area law enforcement officers as part of their continuing education program.

Troublemaker Technology Solutions

Fall 2016 – Present

Troublemaker Technology Solutions began as a digital marketing consultancy with specialization in web development and social media ad creation. Troublemaker Technology Solutions created websites for over 15 clients from small businesses to non-profits, breweries to a regional library.

In 2019, we were approached to help a new digital worshiping community build a programming model at the intersection of creativity and justice. We worked with leadership to launch programming for a community of people unbound by location. I served as the primary director of photography and video editor. I worked with our audio engineer and producer to capture high quality audio. When the pandemic hit, we pivoted into “from home” content recorded via video conferencing.
